Omsk Chamber of Commerce and Industry is a non-governmental non-commercial organization acting on the basis of the Russian Constitution, of the Law of the Russian Federation “On Chambers of Commerce and Industry in the Russian Federation”, of the Articles of Omsk CCI.

The Chamber established in 1992 by Omsk business circles is included in the system of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, consolidates enterprises, organizations and businessmen of Omsk region on a voluntary basis.

The Chamber’s activity is aimed at creating favorable conditions for business, developing trade and economic, scientific and engineering relations with businessmen of other regions of the Russian Federation, of foreign states. Omsk Chamber was the first one in the system of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation which passed certification of the modern management system in accordance with requirements of international standards ISO 9001-2008. A wide range of services to Omsk business received the quality guarantee on the level of international standards.

More than 600 enterprises of different business forms and 16 large associations, unions and amalgamations of businessmen of Omsk region are members of the Chamber. Omsk CCI is one of founders of the International Exhibition Center “Intersib” In order to extend inter-regional and foreign trade relations, to obtain investments in the region’s economy and promotion of goods and services of Omsk enterprises the Chamber organizes trade and economic missions, assists in establishing contacts with business circles of the EEC states, of the USA, South-Western Asia states and other.

Omsk is a large industrial center, it holds the 4th place among industrially developed cities of Russia. Power engineering, petrochemistry, mechanical engineering, timber and woodworking, light and food industry are the basic branches of industry. During last 10 years the foreign trade activity of the region has a stable and growing black ink. The total volume of foreign investments received by Omsk region according to results of the january-september 2007 period amounts to more than 452,2 mln US dollars.
